The company

European Society for Emergency Medicine (EUSEM) is a federation of national member societies and individual members. We  promote research and education and the recognition of Emergency Medicine across Europe. Our members are doctors, nurses, clinical researchers and paramedics coming from over 50 countries around the world. We organize various educational courses, an annual congress as well as the European Board Examination. We also conduct clinical research to improve the standard of care in emergency medicine.

We are  looking for an education manager, who will support the educational activities of EUSEM. You should have an experience in education and/or in learning and development to further expand the educational and professional activities as well as developing new educational concepts. Preferably, you have a background in medical education and understand the complexity of medical education at the European level.

What will you do?

  • Lead initiatives with the education committee in the development, execution and continual improvement of educational programs including content, program execution and follow up
  • Manage faculty, onboarding, and developmental activities
  • Help the education committee to define learning outcomes for the educational activities
  • Provide administrative and logistical organization of the European Board Exam for Emergency Medicine and its committee
  • Provide support to course directors for the pre-courses which are held during the EUSEM congress
  • Manage the EUSEM academy e-learning platform
  • Establish processes to evaluate educational needs
  • Oversee the facilitation of all educational programs
  • Keep abreast of trends, leading developments in eLearning technology
  • Assist in the development and managing of budgets for educational activities

Who are you?

  • You have a master’s degree preferably in a scientific/health related field or in education
  • Experience with medical educational program design, development, and delivery
  • You are a highly organized and enthusiastic team player
  • You are able to deliver under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • You have excellent administrative and logistical coordinating skills
  • Excellent knowledge of oral and written English
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office including Excel and comfortable with numerical and written data
  • Have the ability to use sound judgement, initiative, tact and diplomacy when handling challenging situations

Nice to Have:

  • Working knowledge of a medical society/association
  • Experience working closely with key opinion leaders in the medical sector
  • Ability to apply knowledge to adult learning, including needs assessment and knowledge transfer
  • Experience with technical writing and presentations
